Professional make-up artist, David Phaner, has captivated the beauty industry with his elegant and effortless approach to makeup. Born and raised in Colombia, David’s passion ignited by discovering the transformative power of makeup.
In pursuit of and dedication to his craft he decided to take his dreams to a bigger stage and immigrated to the United States. Settling in Miami, he quickly began to make a name for himself. It was during the pandemic that he began to hone his skills as a makeup artist. David’s unwavering drive led him to being appointed as the lead makeup artist for Arts Hearts Fashion Miami Swim Week for two consecutive years. He is living proof of the substance behind the American Dream.
“I like to be a part of my clients’ journey through makeup. To me the word transformation does not mean change. Creating an effortless look or a bold red lip and hearing my clients say, “I look like myself” is what fills my being with joy.”
“Makeup is more than adding colors and contouring to the face. It’s a tangible form of expressive art that adds different levels of confidence. Sometimes we need a sprinkle of it, and others none. In a significant milestone, David recently won a Telly Award for his role as the lead makeup artist in “Deciphering the Image,” a web series focused on beauty and fashion. This accolade is a testament to his outstanding dedication to his artistry.
