Lola Abigail Koch Extraordinary Ballet

Ihave been in Ballet for 26 years. First I graduated from Bolshoi Ballet Academy, I was a ballerina in Bolshoi, I got my Masters degree in Art of Dance, in 2009 I moved to NY and started to teach. I produced my first Ballet Gala before that at the age of 23. I always create and produce different projects, collaborating with different genres such as fashion , film, music. I was an actress and tv host before, later I produced a series of tv shows in Los Angeles and now I am producing documentary films about ballerinas.

CHALLENGES AND MILESTONES What were some of the biggest challenges you faced when establishing the foundation? Challenges were in the very beginning. I decided to found the foundation during the pandemic. I was judging a ballet competition via zoom, and I felt so sorry about all these students who faced this situation. I wanted to help them succeed during the pandemic and open the foundation. My first foundation project was postponed 4 times.

What milestones or achievements are you most proud of?  I am proud that I will bring 5000 people to ballet in Miami! During the Holiday Season. We had a full house in Miami, which was extremely hard, because people want to go to the beach, shopping and restaurants in Miami, but I bring them to the theater during the holidays! Of Course I am proud of all the Ballet Superstars I bring to Florida.

ABOUT THE FOUNDATION What is the mission? Who are the key people involved in the foundation? Our mission is to create and produce unique ballet projects, discover young talents and help them to grow. We produce ballet projects internationally. I am happy that we have the opportunity to work with so many extraordinary ballet dancers from around the world.

PROGRAMS AND CLASSES What types of ballet classes and workshops do you offer? Are there any programs specifically for beginners or advanced dancers? I am a guest teacher at Joffrey Ballet School NYC and I am teaching different levels of students. Professional, pre professional, summer programs.

Do you offer scholarships or financial aid for students? When I am judging at a Ballet Competition Ballet Support Foundation gives a scholarship or financial aid. PERFORMANCES AND EVENTS What upcoming performances or events are scheduled? Are there opportunities for community engagement or outreach? Our next Ballet and Tennis event “Match” will be in the Hamptons at the end of the August and BSF Film Festival “Action” in November in New York. You could support us through the web side donations button or simply come to our event. You can always email me. We will have a fundraising dinner during the tennis and ballet event and live auction and fundraising luncheon before the Film Festival.

Can individuals or organizations support the foundation? Yes please support our unique projects! All the donations go to new projects and to support the dancers. We are working on our new project “Legendary Women” dedicated to the Legendary Women of all the time. This project will be huge! With the principal dancers from the top ballet companies such as Ballet Opera de Paris, Royal Ballet of London, American Ballet Theater, Martha Graham Contemporary Dance Company. We need a lot of support and donors for this project. Please contact me directly for more info.

EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES Do you offer educational programs for schools or community groups? Partnerships and Collaborations: – Do you collaborate with other arts organizations or foundations? I am working with Joffrey Ballet School NYC, and we helped the students together with their wonderful Artistic Director Era Jouravlev. Era’s 15 years old student Breeanna Palmer performed at the Holiday Season with Ballet Stars Gala at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami and at our World Premiere “ Match” with ABT Principal Dancer Skylar Brandt in Kravis Center, Palm Beach. I collaborate with Paris Ballet and Dance Conservatory and their founder Jean Hugues Feray. I worked with American Ballet Theater, Ballet Opera de Paris, Royal Ballet , Martha Graham, New York City Ballet and more.

IMPACT AND SUCCESS STORIES
Can you share some success stories or notable achievements of the foundation? – How does the foundation measure its impact on the community and the arts? I feel like I did a cultural revolution in Miami last Christmas. Could you imagine that Opera Ballet de Paris Etoile Ludmila Pagliero and Mathieu Ganio and Royal Ballet Prima Natalia Osipova never been in Miami before. I bring them to Florida. For the first time these ballet superstars performed in Miami. I had ABT, NYCB, Martha Graham Dance Company, Kibbutz Dance Company and more. We had sold out shows . It was very hard but very successful at the end. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Do you offer professional development opportunities for dancers, choreographers, or instructors? The biggest opportunity is to create new projects together with the choreographers, composers, dancers, costume designers. This is the biggest opportunity for everyone. And of course perform at the highest professional level. Are there any mentorship programs available? Not exactly, but the movie I produced will be the best motivation movie for younger generation. I hope you could see it very soon.

ADAPTING TO NEW TECHNOLOGY How are new technologies like motion capture and 3D modeling influencing choreography and stage production? Can you share any examples of how these technologies have been used in your recent productions? That was something new I learned. Did you hear about immersive art? We are planning to use it at our new production as well as AI. I work with influencers and Edgar Entertainment Company. I was shocked when I got thousands of reports, tags and mentions. It was very helpful with the tickets sales, but the most important that we are making ballet more popular surround young generation and new technologies, and in same time we bring technologies to the world of ballet, to the stage. Both benefit from each other. Regarding the influencers and fashion.Gorgeous influences in Isabel Lopes haute couture dresses look stunning at the Ballet Support Foundation banner and red carpet.
