A Night of Spectacle, Fashion, and Heart
The 10th anniversary of Fashion Woodlands unfolded as one of the most dazzling philanthropic fashion events of the year, transforming The Woodlands into a world of spectacle, artistry, and heartfelt moments.
Hosted by the incomparable Theresa Roemer, known worldwide for owning the most famous and extravagant closet in Texas, the evening honored creativity, community, and the spirit of giving in support of Make-A-Wish Texas Gulf Coast & Louisiana.
Fashion Meets Live Performance
From the moment guests arrived, it was clear this was not a typical runway night. Inspired by the magic and grandiosity of Cirque du Soleil Paris, the event blended fashion with live performance. Can-can dancers, jugglers, contortionists, ballerinas, and stilt performers moved elegantly among the crowd, setting a theatrical mood.
Roemer herself opened the evening in full ringmaster regalia, later transitioning into a glamorous gown that sparked applause as effortlessly as the spectacle she curated. Backstage, the energy was electric among reality stars, noted personalities, and designers.
Creative Voices on the Runway
This year’s designer lineup highlighted a rich variety of creative voices. Houston’s Chasity Sereal opened with her signature blend of art, emotion, and empowerment. Waleed Peerzada followed with sleek menswear jackets, offering structure and style with a modern edge.
Then came the ultra-feminine couture of Isabel López, whose delicate silhouettes, handcrafted textures, and sculptural details brought softness and movement to the runway. Her presentation shined even more with the exquisite accessories of Alba Johnston. The finale showcased the bold leather artistry of Mexico City’s José Sánchez.
A Heartfelt Surprise
Beyond the fashion and spectacle, the evening held a deeper emotional core. A special video presentation honoring the origins and mission of the Make-A-Wish Foundation reminded all 500 attendees of the cause at the heart of the celebration.
In a surprise finale that brought tears across the room, Theresa Roemer stepped onto the runway to renew her vows with her husband, Lamar, marking 20 years of marriage. With Lamar currently facing serious illness, the ceremony carried a profound tenderness.
It was an intimate, emotional tribute, proof that even in a night filled with spectacle, love remained the most powerful highlight.
